A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls
A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase physical activity. The focus of the class is to enhance self-efficacy among older adults to live independently through physical and cognitive changes. This falls prevention exercise program is recommended and approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Small group workshop led by a certified instructor

Schedule
1 session per week for 8 weeks
Instructions
Workbook and physical instruction involved during every session
Settings
- Community settings such as senior centers, community centers or a local medical facility
Participants

This intervention is recommended for older adults at risk of falls or comorbidities

It is preferred for older adults who are at higher risk of falls or who need to rest between periods of physical instruction

Older adults who utilize wheelchairs, canes or walkers are welcome
