The teaching process for the Positive Self-Management Program for HIV (PSMP) makes it highly effective. Classes are highly participatory. Mutual support and success build participants’ confidence in their ability to manage their health and maintain active and fulfilling lives.

Format

  • Small group workshop
  • 2-1/2 hours per session
  • 1 session per week for 6 weeks

  • Community settings such as churches, hospitals, senior centers and worksites

  • People who are living with HIV
  • 10 to 20 participants per workshop
